An exhibition of approximately 40 photographs of Fukushima by world-renowned landscape photographer Michael Kenna, taken at various locations throughout Fukushima Prefecture.
BEAUTIFUL FUKUSHIMA is scheduled to be presented not only in Fukushima, but also at galleries in Tokyo, France, Italy, Canada, the United States, and elsewhere in Japan and abroad. (The exhibition in Fukushima is the only one organized by Fukushima Prefecture.)
In this commemorative year marking the 150th anniversary of the Fukushima prefectural government and the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, the exhibition presents the beauty and allure of Fukushima as captured by Michael Kenna in his distinctive monochrome photographs, sharing the landscapes of Fukushima with audiences around the world.
