Photographer Michael Kenna donates all his work to France

On 10 November 2022, the French Government announced that photographer Michael Kenna had donated 175,000 negatives and contact sheets, 6,422 working prints from 1983 to 2000, 1,280 Polaroid prints and all publications to France. Michael Kenna was awarded the Order of Culture by the Minister of Culture at Paris Photo in November 2022. His work will henceforth be managed by the Médiathèque du patrimoine et de la photographie (MPP).
